Fifteen years of operation in Facility Management  by AGT, one of the strongest teams with many years of experience, high expertise and know-how in the field of Construction, Technical Solutions and FM.

Realizing early on the high potential of Facility Management sector in the world market, AGT decided in 2004 to introduce these services in Greece.

In the first instance, AGT provided contract maintenance services. But realizing the need for businesses to have a valuable partner next to them that can provide them with immediate and complete solutions, he began operating a one stop shop with service models that met all the needs of an organization, integrating the hard & soft services and was coming to introduce compliance services into a single package of services.

Since then, catering to the different needs of organizations, AGT has been designing ‘customer-centric’ service models tailored to the industry and its requirements.

Active participation of AGT people in Emfasis’ actions

In the days of celebrations, the need to support our most vulnerable fellow citizens becomes more intense. AGT, in its more than 20 years of operation and all year round, attempts to offer with life projects to the most vulnerable social groups.

This year, at Easter celebrations, the company’s people made sure they had even more active participation. The management of the company proceeded to purchase a series of coupons from the NGO Emfasis to help support the most vulnerable for targeted and more effective actions. Gift vouchers were distributed to people with survival needs, more specifically 60% for vulnerable elderly people, 20% for families with survival problems, 10% for street people and 10% for single parent families.

At the same time, six representatives of the company offered volunteer work during the distribution of the respective supplies together with the people of Emfasis.
During this year’s action, assistance was provided mainly to our vulnerable elderly fellow citizens, but also to homeless and single-parent families. Special support was provided to vulnerable and socially excluded families with children contributing to the facilitation of their daily lives.

After all, AGT has been attempting to return a portion of its revenue to society and especially to the most vulnerable people, or to provide its services free of charge to organizations supporting weak social groups. This year, AGT’s people also helped to assist with their presence and their voluntary work in helping with targeted Emfasis actions.

Engineering Days by AGT

AGT close to students with life projects.


At a time when the connection of higher education with entrepreneurship and the market is a constant demand, AGT organized the “Engineering Days”, a special day for the students of the Technical University.

The participants had the opportunity to perceive in practice the modern requirements of large industrial projects and to approach Industrial Engineering and Facility Management on a practical level. At the same time they were informed of the management of special projects (eg airports) while having the opportunity to understand the requirements of the market by a junior engineer.

At the same time AGT listened to the students’ concerns about their future and their first work steps. Given the company’s awareness of the braindrain phenomenon, the International Development Director presented among other things the opportunities and prospects for development in the Greek market. The students attended a total of eight lectures by specialized AGT executives and received a monitoring certificate.

Our experience shows that these seminars help young engineers to understand the market demands and at the same time help to gain a better picture of our work in view of decisions they are made to take for their specialization in the future and their postgraduate studies. AGT’s Corporate Social Responsibility actions form an integral part of its culture and philosophy

Contributing to the progress and welfare of society is one of AGT Group’s core values and principles that, from its foundation until today,

continues to actively support “Life Projects” by foundations and charities.


In this context, the AGT Group continues to ensure, with sponsorships and offers in different institutions, the availability of essentials to the homeless, refugees and needy families.

Also, from 2016, the company participated as a sponsor in the Authentic Marathon and the Half Marathon of Athens, standing next to all runners supporting each kilometer of their route.

Additionally, with their voluntary offer, AGT’s people continue to support many charities, including Make A Wish and Emfasis,

undertaking the renovation and maintenance of all their facilities and individual premises of their buildings.

Multi-year, also pro-bono sponsorship, AGT has signed with the Hadjipatereion Foundation, effectively assisting the Foundation’s work,

support and rehabilitation of children with disabilities. More specifically, AGT has undertaken the supervision and maintenance of buildings in all of the Foundation’s facilities

offering building, electrical and plumbing services aimed at improving the everyday life of children during their stay at the Center.

In addition, AGT over the past decade has placed particular emphasis on vulnerable groups in need of support, not only material but also moral.

Having this as a priority, AGT, in cooperation with the charitable organization Make A Wish, has so far helped to make over 30 wishes from the children of the institution.

Given the difficult socio-economic and environmental conditions and the continuing increase in support for people,

AGT’s “Life Works” will continue to be a top priority of the company and be more imperative than ever before.

In what areas of construction or facility management do you think there is room for growth? How is the market trending? Does the crisis still affect?

Growth and sector-by-sector indicators as well as official data for 2019 and mainly for 2020 show that the construction sector is expected to grow. The construction market seems to have overcome the most difficult part of the crisis and gradually recovering. This is obviously associated with major projects that we expect to start and can give a significant boost to the industry.

In terms of the market, there are indeed some sectors of the economy that appear to have more growth than others, such as aerodrome development, tourism and logistics where we operate. I also believe that in the medium term we will see some growth in complementary services in public or semi-public organizations. However, in principle, our approach remains customer-centered. We have a dynamic presence in different industries, focusing on our client.

The effects of the crisis obviously continue to affect us as they have created new data. Over the years, especially in the area of ​​facility management, a field with enormous dynamics, few companies have managed to increase their size and respond to the increased demands of the era. AGT was one of them. One reason is definitely the contact with the client and the reasonable risks we have taken.

AGT managed to grow in a period of great difficulty for the construction industry in Greece. What was its competitive edge?

With state-of-the-art know-how, high-quality services, specialized solutions and no bank lending, we have a strong asset. Each business decision was taken solely on the basis of sustainability criteria, aiming at stability and providing goodwill to the client. Industry now requires innovation and credibility. For more than 20 years and with high industrial engineering identity, we continue to respond dynamically to challenges both nationally and globally.

At the same time, we have invested in stable partnerships, contributing to the sustainable growth of our customers. Thus, during the economic crisis, we have acquired an excellent and ever-growing customer base. At the same time, we created a strong portfolio of multinational companies, key to our growth both in Greece and abroad. We have also taken care of and continue to take care to maintain a reliable supplier and partner base.
Lastly, I must point out that our key comparative advantage is our firm attachment to the client’s subject, combined with the high level of service delivery, always driven by its own steady growth.

How big are the outsourcing margins for a company such as AGT? How do you move on to this specific issue?

Our goal is to continuously increase our participation in foreign projects in our turnover. We are strategically interested in strengthening our operations outside of Greece. We are proven to be competitive at the level of high-tech, methodology and result delivery, under the strictest specifications and operating in very demanding schedules, successfully delivering complex projects.

We are already active in overseas markets, such as those in Cyprus, where we also maintain offices in France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, the Arab states. This recognition and widespread acceptance from the industrial and commercial sectors is the result of systematic and sustained high-level service provision.

Especially in the field of facility management, from which a significant percentage of AGT’s revenue originates, how can you compete with international groups?

We have a high level of know-how, modern project management methods and a reliable work plan, while through surveys and evaluations we have compiled innovative “holistic” service models tailored to the needs of the customer and its business by allowing it to devote itself to its core and development , since all other services are managed by the above model by dedicated project management teams. Besides, the best ambassadors of our project are our own clients. Also, AGT is already working extremely constructively with many international groups.

Why have you never been tempted to engage in public works like most of your competitors?

Our constant goal is to cooperate with strong private sector groups and provide high quality services. We do not exclude the public sector, but it is true that until now our core business was more related to the private one. Many times, over-concentration of projects is prohibitive for companies that have the ability and specifications to give goodwill to the public works market. This does not mean, however, that in the future we will not claim our participation in a public project, always on the basis of the sustainability criteria I have referred to.

AGT actively supports innovation and art at the 6th Athens Biennale 2018

With exceptional enthusiasm and in the context of its corporate engagement,

 AGT Group  participated this year as a sponsor in the remodeling of the premises

which houses the largest international art event of modern culture

in the country, the 6th Athens Biennale.

The 6th Athens Biennale, titled “ANTI”, goes one step further,

pioneering even more, experimenting, giving a new breath and hope

and is undoubtedly the greatest artistic event of modern civilization.

From October 26 to December 9, 2018,

the large-scale international exhibition with the participation of about 100 artists

from Greece and abroad, has been established

– with the participation and specialization of AGT –

in the area around the Old Parliament, in Syntagma Square.

with the aim of pioneering in showing proactively the need for enterprises to innovate

and to upgrade the environment in which they operate.
