AGT Constructions SA upgrades the Contractor’s Certificate

We are pleased to inform you that AGT Constructions SA has upgraded its contractor’s certificate to 4th Class based on long-term experience and its capital adequacy ratio. This certifying our continuous development in the Greek market. Our total financial limits have been increased and have the opportunity to claim even larger projects in public tenders, per category and overall.

2019 LIFE PROJECTS

The actions of 2019 and the corresponding planning for 2020 have been successfully completed.

Throughout the 23 years in which AGT has been active, every year it has tried to contribute to society through actions that concerned our fellow humans most in need. In this context, and in 2019, it completed the Life Projects program by supporting specific foundations and non-profit organizations.

Last spring, AGT organized “Engineering Days,” a special workshop for college students. Participants had the opportunity to attend 8 lectures by specialized AGT executives and learn about market requirements and international standards projects, bringing Industrial, Commercial Engineering and Facility Management to a practical level.

In the days of the Easter season, AGT went on to buy a series of  coupons, distributing supermarket gift vouchers to our survivors. At the same time, company representatives offered volunteer work distributing food in collaboration with Emfasis people.

In addition, the company continued its pro-bono collaboration with the Hatzipaterio Foundation, contributing to its work to support and rehabilitate children with disabilities. AGT has overseen and maintained the buildings throughout the Foundation’s premises, thereby improving the living conditions of the children during their stay at the Center.

At the same time,  AGT Group and its people continued their internal recycling activities in 2019 as well. The initiative continued for the 12th year and is a minimal contribution to the company’s environmental awareness. Materials such as paper, lamps and all kinds of plastic were recycled from its seats. It is estimated that last year the company reduced its environmental footprint by 15%

In 2019, AGT sponsored the “Love Baskets” charity basketball tournament with the ASETH, supporting the special school for children with autism.

Finally, the company regularly provided essentials to homeless, refugee and needy families, as needed.

AGT’s “LifeProjects” are an integral part of the company’s philosophy, following the fundamental values and principles of social offering that have governed the Group since its inception until today. The Corporate Social Responsibility program continues in 2020, with actions to be completed and announced within the year.

AGT leading from ground zero

AGT Group was part of the CEO Clubs Greece Anniversary Forum titled “Leading from Ground Zero in Action” on November 14, 2019 at Hilton Athens.

There, the rapporteurs were 10 senior executives from Greek and multinational organizations while a total of over 250 senior executives attended.

CEO Clubs Greece offers market leaders a unique environment of knowledge and collaboration that improves the quality and profitability of their companies, and its anniversary forum has delivered a strong message of loyalty, professionalism and optimism for the next 10 years of Greek entrepreneurship.

 

Nikos Anastassopoulos, CEO, was honored with an  invitation as rapporteur at the CEO Clubs Greece Anniversary Forum, recognizing the need to share his own overview of the last decade in Greece with CEOs Clubs Greece members and senior executives forming Greek business.

His speech recounted the biggest personal and professional challenges and successes that helped him secure the viability of his company during the biggest recession Greece has faced in its recent history.

 

“Our company on a very big project was very ahead of schedule, while the other companies that were on the same project were lagging behind.

The American Head Project Manager then asked us to contribute to several parts of the other contractors and when he saw that other companies were lagging behind, he was shouting loudly ‘Bring me the Greeks’ throughout the  factory.

This “Bring me the Greeks” has given us the pride and hope that we all so desperately need today. When we also bring ‘Bring me the Greeks’ inside borders, then we have nothing to fear. “

Mr Anastassopoulos also spoke about the importance of his current success, focusing on the continuing uncertainty in business planning and the overall effort needed to manage such a situation over the past decade.

In particular, he said in his memoir: “When a very good customer of ours told me why AGT stands out from the rest of the market, then I realized that what I was looking for was our company already. We will build on our foundations, at GROUND ZERO. So, we decided and focused on the customer because our goal was and is to build long-lasting trust relationships with our customers. To be with them all the time and support their needs as small or big as they are. ”

AGT FM: 15 years of operation

Fifteen years of operation in Facility Management  by AGT, one of the strongest teams with many years of experience, high expertise and know-how in the field of Construction, Technical Solutions and FM.

Realizing early on the high potential of Facility Management sector in the world market, AGT decided in 2004 to introduce these services in Greece.

In the first instance, AGT provided contract maintenance services. But realizing the need for businesses to have a valuable partner next to them that can provide them with immediate and complete solutions, he began operating a one stop shop with service models that met all the needs of an organization, integrating the hard & soft services and was coming to introduce compliance services into a single package of services.
